Laboratoire Smile, a cosmetic dental lab, brought me in to photograph its party: speeches, guests, dance floor and a photocall in front of the lab’s branded backdrop. Here’s a selection.

Frequently asked questions
How much does a party photographer with a photocall cost?
It depends on how long the evening runs, guest numbers and any extras (video). You’ll get a detailed quote within 48 hours.
Do you supply the photocall backdrop?
No: the branded wall or backdrop comes from you or your agency. I handle the lighting and the photos.
How many photos will I get?
Every strong shot from the night, selected and edited. The number depends on the length of the party and the number of guests; we agree on it when we put the quote together.
Can you film the party as well?
Yes. I also make aftermovies for corporate parties.
Do you work outside Paris?
Yes, across the Paris region and the rest of France. Travel costs are itemised in the quote.
What about guests’ image rights?
Letting guests know they may be photographed (a line on the invitation or a sign at the venue) is down to the organiser. At the photocall, guests choose to pose; everywhere else, I never photograph anyone who’d rather not be.
